Daniel is a Welsh painter living and working in Cardiff. His work, heavily influenced by 1960s pop art and contemporary photorealist painting, often takes the form of large-scale oil and acrylic paintings that explore themes relating to consumerism and cultural identity.
Juxtaposing imagery and objects drawn from pop culture and everyday life, Daniel’s paintings invite the viewer to create individual narratives and interpretations for each work. His current series of still lifes takes broad, universal themes – such as war, love, death – and turns them into “domestic totems” constructed from household ornaments and found objects.
Daniel has exhibited at several group exhibitions in and around Cardiff.
